Invitational Rules

  • All batteries, motors, and wheels must comply with IFMAR rules.
  • 2WD weight limit: 1499g
  • 4WD weight limit: 1613g
  • Battery may be any size/configuration and is limited to 2S and to the voltage specified on the battery.
  • Chassis layout not required to fit a full-size battery.
  • When held on the racing surface, 4WD vehicles must significantly drive the front tires when rear tires are lifted.
  • All races are 5 minutes in length.
  • Each driver may only tech and race one car per heat/round. No substitute vehicles.
  • A broken vehicle may not be repaired during its race. One minute grace given to repair a broken vehicle before mains and invite heats.
  • Each vehicle is subject to post tech inspection before heat results are official.
  • Black flags and driving penalties will be issued at the referee's discretion.
  • Only Invitational drivers (or approved substitutes) will turn marshal Invitational races.

  • Chassis layout not required to fit a full-size battery.
  • When held on the racing surface, 4WD vehicles must significantly drive the front tires when rear tires are lifted.
  • All qualifiers are 5 minutes in length.
  • All main events are 10 minutes in length.
  • Each driver may only tech and race one car per heat/round. No substitute vehicles.
  • A broken vehicle may not be repaired during its race. One minute grace will be given for A-main events after all the cars have been gridded to repair a broken vehicle.
  • Each vehicle is subject to post tech inspection before heat results are official.
  • Black flags and driving penalties will be given at the referee's discretion.
  • Only registered drivers (or approved substitute) will turn marshal races.
  • Drivers bumping from one main to the next are not required to turn marshal.
