Visit The Entry Form Page 04-01-2008 - CLASSES & RULES UPDATED! Hello all, Well we have all been working very hard to get everything finalized and we have most things done. So I wanted to get some info out to answer many of your questions. CLASSES: We will again run 3 classes. Invitational, Open and the Spec class for this year will be... 13.5 Brushless. The 13.5 class will be a bring your own motor, there will be no handout for this class. We will be posting all the rules soon as to what motors are legal and other important info regarding this. BATTERIES: We will be allowing LIPO Batteries for this years Open and 13.5 classes. These batteries must be Hard Cased and on the Roar Approved list to be legal. Also, all LIPO batteries must be charged in a LIPO Sack. Invitational will use 5 Cell Nimh maximum. Open will have the option of running either 5 cell or 6 cell just as past years with a weight difference for each choice. Drivers using LIPO Batteries must meet the 6 Cell weight. 13.5 brushless will run 6 Cell Nimh or LIPO, drivers using LIPO will have to meet the 6 Cell weight. Handout tires have not been decided yet.. We still have some testing to do. I know there are many more things you may have questions for, we will have all that up shortly. Please check back often as we will continue to update many areas of the site as information is available. 03-06-2008 - NEW VENUE FOR 2008 After the closing of the Tamiya facility in Aliso Vejo the Reedy Race Of Champions has been searching for a new venue for the 2008 event. We are very happy to announce that Speedworld Raceway in Roseville, CA will be the new home for this world class event in 2008! Speedworld has a top notch facility with an all new 160x67 foot track currently under construction! View photo of the progress here. 03-06-2008 - THE SHOW MUST GO ON! What started out many years ago as a Vision that Mike Reedy had to showcase the top drivers in the world in a format unlike any other ever used in RC racing has grown to be one of the most anticipated and exciting races anywhere in the world. And I am proud to say Mike's vision and event will continue! We are proud to announce the 2008 Reedy Race of Champions will be held May 22,23,24,25th 2008 at SpeedWorld Raceway in RoseVille CA, near Sacramento. It is again a great honor to be asked to organize and race direct one of the greatest events in our industry. We wanted to get this announcement out as soon as everything was confirmed so everyone can start planning. The Entry forms, Rules, Hotel info ect, ect, ect. will be finished up in the next week and we will have that online asap. Format and schedule for the event will remain as it has for many years. Thursday, May 22 - 4 Rounds Of Practice By Heat Friday, May 23 - 4 Rounds Of Practice By Heat Saturday May 24 - 3 Rounds Of Qualifying, 4 Invite Rounds Sunday May 25 - 1 Round Of Qualifying, Triple A-Mains, 4 Invite Rounds Tires have not yet been decided since it will be a new surface, Testing will go on once the track is complete and we will give everyone the info as soon as it has been decided. Obviously everyone will have many question, we will be working very hard this weekend to get everything prepared and posted as soon as we can.
