Since 2014, a specially blended control tire additive has been used and this will continue for 2018. A designated tire saucing area will be set up and all application of tire additive must be done at this location with the control tire sauce. The mild additive is low odor, low toxicity and has been tested against other popular additives at OCRC to ensure consistent performance.
Remember, included with each entry is one set of branded control tires and inserts. These will be distributed after OCRC open practice on Wednesday, January 17, 2018. Any tire used during a scored round at the Reedy Race must have a branding mark from the event, which is only available for purchase during the event dates of January 18-21, 2018.
